Jale Velibeyoğlu

After graduating from Istanbul University Archeology Department, Jale Velibeyoğlu completed her master’s degree in Istanbul University Near East Archeology Department. She has more than 15 years of management and coordination experience in Cultural Heritage projects, national/international emergency aid, humanitarian aid and social inclusion. In this context, she has great experience in capacity building, awareness raising, grant management, training, monitoring and evaluation in social grant projects financed by the EU and other IFIs. Jale Velibeyoğlu, who has more than 35 years of work experience in various regions of Turkey, has carried out project studies with local governments and communities with her knowledge about social, cultural and economic conditions at the community level. She has a strong background on the social development issues of other disadvantaged groups such as women, children, the disabled and refugees. She is highly experienced in on EU PRAG and procurement rules and the overall grant program process, including grant scheme design, call for proposals, proposal evaluation, contracting, implementation, monitoring, program evaluation and contract closing. She is a PCM trainer and grant program specialist with proven success in EU funded regional development projects such as GAP-CHD, EADP, AKKM, GAPSEL, HRDOP. Having strong communication and team building skills in multicultural environments, Velibeyoğlu also has strong background knowledge on community participation in urban development planning. With enriched experience with national / international NGOs in project development, fundraising, project implementation and evaluation, she organized activities and carried out studies for Local Agenda 21 and NGO networks in the East and Southeast. She was in the “disaster coordination team” in 1999 Düzce earthquake and  in big Türkiye earthquake in February 2023.
